Who should host a Trunk Show?

Our styles appeal to women of all ages, styles, and budgets. We pride ourselves on having something for a classic, mature woman, as well as the fresh-from-college hipster and everyone in between. So no matter who you are or where you live, Stella & Dot is ready to serve and style you and your friends!

 

What should I expect at my Trunk Show?

You and your friends will have a great time! Stella & Dot Trunk Shows are always casual, no pressure and very interactive. Friends can swing by for style during what is typically a 2-hour Trunk Show. Our Stylists are trained to casually help people find styles that flatter their features and lifestyle. Each guest will have the chance to try on all the jewellery they please, finding everything from pieces that give her a simple way to be stylish everyday to perfect gifts.

 

Is there a cost to hosting a Trunk Show?

No, we will connect you with one of our trained and friendly Independent Stylists, who comes to your home at no charge and offers styling advice for your friends. In fact, our Hostesses enjoy a generous rewards program paid for by Stella & Dot. We offer great savings on our products, based on the sales at your Trunk Show and from friends online, to thank you for sharing the style with your friends! See our rewards.

 

What is the price range of your accessories?

Our accessories range from £8 - £200+.

 

What forms of payments are accepted at Trunk Shows?

Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit cards. Stylists may choose to accept cash or personal cheques.

 

Can a friend co-host a party with me?

Sure! Co-hosting is a great way to get a larger group together to attend. And, if you have a larger group, you and your co-host will have more rewards to share.

 

Can I have a Trunk Show somewhere other than my home?

Yes. While the home environment is the best, Stylists can also do Trunk Shows in a conference room at your office, or another location.

 

Do guests take home jewellery from the Trunk Show?
How long does it take to get the jewellery?

Mostly no. Stylists brings samples for guests to try on, but do not carry inventory. Guests give the Stylist an order to process directly with Stella & Dot. At times, Stylists may have discontinued styles for sale to take home.

It is our goal to surprise and delight at every turn! Our jewellery typically arrives within a week or less in irresistible, gift ready packaging. For Trunk Shows, we ship for a £5.95 flat rate, and for orders over £40, shipping is FREE! Orders are shipped directly to guests.

 

Will my friends and I get to see all the jewellery at my show?

Your Stylist will bring their own sample selections. While many Guests can try on styles, shop our Look Book. We are passionate about providing styling tips on how to wear it, so guests can also enjoy style videos on our website.

 

Where is the jewellery made?

What should I do about invitations?

We recommend that you email a save the date. Your Stylist will not only provide wording suggestions and links to exciting collection preview videos for your electronic save the date, she is also happy to create and send personalised, adorable paper invitations just for you! While this is by no means required, we do know that this increases the joy for your friends and the attendance at your Trunk Show.

 

Can I have food and drink at my party?

Of course! We suggest light appetizers and drinks. Nuts, cheese and crackers, or cookies are popular options. We encourage you not to go overboard with food. People are often so busy trying on jewellery that they don't eat much at the Trunk Show.

 

How often do you offer new products?

All the time! While we introduce 2 major lines a year, we release capsule collections throughout the year. You can always discover something new at a Stella & Dot Trunk Show.

 

How do I get connected with a Stylist?

Our inquiry form will quickly connect with your closest, qualified Stylist. We will take your information, then email you back shortly with the right Stylist's information and ensure you connect. You will then be able to talk by phone directly to arrange your Trunk Show.

 

How far in advance should I plan my trunk show?

3-14 days in advance. We find that people know what they are doing 3-4 days from now more so than they do 3-4 weeks from now. Plus, throwing a 90 minute Trunk Show is not like planning a wedding! It's just so easy to put together with the help of our high touch Stylists.

 

How many guests do I need to have?

We love Trunk Shows big and small, and are grateful for every chance to style guests. Our Stylists conduct Trunk Shows for 8-10, as often as they style gatherings of 30-40. When you send out paper invitations, followed up by reminder calls, you'll garner the best attendance.

 

What should I serve?

Keep refreshments super simple. You deserve a style-filled event, not one spent in the kitchen and most guests don't eat anyway! Consider simple coffee & cake or wine & cheese. No need for more. In fact, more can take away from the fun focus of the Trunk Show!

 

Is my apartment too small?

Stella & Dot Trunk Shows are regularly held in studio apartments in NYC! If you have a kitchen counter top or coffee table, you have all the space you need. We're all about connecting with friends in a warm, personal environment, not about fancy locations.

 

What if my friends can't make it?

You'll never find the perfect date where everyone can make it. We find that those who can't make it often shop on- line, or if they are double booked that evening, they simply swing by for 15-20 minutes! Typically one half to one third of invited guests make the event.

 

I'm a little uncomfortable asking my friends to buy something in my home. What if they can't afford it?

We agree – people should only buy things they love! Which is why we make all guests feel welcome and give style advice in a no pressure way. If someone doesn't find something for themselves that evening, we hope they'll tell a friend about Stella & Dot because of the wonderful experience they had. We find that because we offer a range of price points and true style for a steal, people on all different budgets typically do find something they adore. Lastly, don't worry. When you invite people, friends will clearly know this is a shopping opportunity - if they want to come to shop - wonderful, to socialize - fabulous! If they don't want to come, they'll often just skip. No problem!
